New night, new kill to report, this time it was the turn of Anetheron to meet his maker as we continued the recent move into Mount Hyjal and soon the Black Temple as well. This ones just another of many new kills to soon grace these pages so keep an eye out!

Loot was:

• Enchanted Leather Sandals – Graager

Throughout all the blood, sweat and tears we struggled and that was just officer chat after poking fun at Yakujim…

In the end however we stood triumphant over the corpse of one of the major bosses in The Burning Crusade – Kael’Thas Sunstrider. Apparently us “Insolent Monkeys” weren’t quite able to finish the job and he was soon back in Shattrah to taunt us but hey it felt good to have beaten one of the most technical encounters we’d been faced with. Congratulations are in order to all who were there not only on the night but on the various nights leading up to the kill itself and a much deserved pat on the back etc to all.

Loot was:

Unlike Kael’Thas our next kill took a lot less time and we marked the attunement of a large group to the Black Temple with the death of Rage Winterchill, the first boss in Mount Hyjal. Was nice to get a “relaxing” boss to kill after the pain that was Kael’Thas and ofc we’re looking forward to moving deeper into BT/MH.

Loot was:

• Blood-Stained Pauldrons – Azrianna
• Rejuvenating Bracers – Graager

Yet another good raid led to the demise of another boss, this time it was the turn of the Serpentshrine Matron herself, Lady Vashj. Quite a fun fight with a lot going on in phase 2 making the learning stage rather chaotic but hey it was only 4 nights of actual tries on her and down she goes, fantastic showing by all involved though next time can we do it before the now infamous “last go” call! 🙂

So er High Astromancer Solarion dead…on the 2nd proper try which was a bit underwhelming really but hey! We were originally gonna just wait till 2.2 was released but with plenty of spare time on their hands over the holiday period we had our intrepid guildies grabbed some AR gear (boredom is a terrible thing) so we had the 2 soakers ready for when we started raiding properly again. So taking a break from Vashj we headed into TK and she pretty much dropped down dead! (Tho to be fair it was a solid performance by all anyway but hey!)

Yep more boss kills and bad puns ahoy! This time it was the turn of the blind guy in SSC, Leotheras. After proving to be a bit of a bugger at times we eventually got him down leaving only Lady Vashj left to kill now in SSC (WTB T5 Helm!)

Next to fall was the first boss in Tempest Keep (2nd one we killed though ofc!), the Phoenix God – Al’Ar which we 1 shot on the night after coming close several times the previous night including a couple of classic moments where he meteored the OT who was standing near a wall and respawned on the upper level leading to a wipe! Doh!

Loot was:

• Phoenix-Wing Cloak – Batou
• Band of Al’ar – Brandii

Well turned out to be an interesting night, 1 shotted a new boss on the first nite of a fresh instance reset. Now our raiders can stop shivering every time we hear the damn “Mrrrrrrrrgggggggrrrrrrrrrrlllllllll” noise as we twatted Morgrim Tidewalker.

Lewt was:

• Ring of Sundered Souls – Batou

So after realising the Kara was in fact relating to Fathom Lord Karathress and not the instance with a similar name we went in to Serpentshrine and gibbed him. Took a couple of nites of tries and a silly wipe on trash cost us a kill on thursday but hey he’s dead regardless!

• Leggings of the Vanquished Champion – Aae
• Fathom-Brooch of the Tidewalker – Disenchanted(!)

Quite a fun fight this one, didn’t take too long to get sussed as well which is always nice! Regardless we killed the Lurker Below there last night so its back onto Morgrim then the rest of the bunch in Serpentshrine Caverns.

Loot dropped was:

• Glowing Breastplate of Truth – Thoronar

Grats to Lana for being the sole death on the actual kill!

Well in a shocking development we actually killed something that we can use to make a decent screen shot! Making a nice change from Hydross’s bracers or Magtheridons “bit of armour” plates, we downed Void Reaver on the first night of tries.

After getting most of the people attuned Blizz then removed the attunements requirements (prob just as well really as we had a few swap out) meaning we could go into Tempest Keep last night instead of the planned raid later that week. So on the last try of the night with respawns already starting in the room we just went for it and downed him.
